Residential Treatment Center for Men in Arizona
Residential care is delivered at AnchorPoint, the brother program to Holdfast Recovery.
Around thirty days of live-in treatment, delivered at AnchorPoint, the brother program to Holdfast Recovery. The same admissions and clinical team carry through to outpatient, and the work is built around trauma rather than around the substance alone.

The residence
A Residence for Recovery, Rest and Community
Shared rooms, common space, a library, a gym, a games room and the grounds outside it.
How the program works
Inpatient Rehab and a Full Continuum of Care
Roughly ninety days in total. Most men start in residential and step down through the levels as their clinical needs change.
- 1at AnchorPointAbout 30 days
Residential
Living on site with clinical staff there around the clock. Individual therapy, group work, psychiatric care and case management, every day rather than twice a week.
- 2at Holdfast RecoveryAbout 60 days
PHP, then IOP
Treatment five days a week with housing included, stepping down to part-time as you steady. Close to residential in everything but where you sleep, so the structure comes off gradually instead of all at once.
- 3at Holdfast RecoveryOngoing
Aftercare and alumni
The brotherhood does not end at discharge. Alumni keep coming back, and a man who relapses can pick the phone up without starting from the beginning.

Getting here
Coming to Arizona for Inpatient Treatment
Most of the men in residential traveled to get here, and admissions has done it hundreds of times.
If you need detox first
Admissions works with detox partners in the Phoenix area, places you with one, and collects you when you are medically clear so you come straight into residential.
If you are flying in
Fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor and someone from the team collects you and brings you up. The assessment happens over the phone before you book anything.
If your family is driving you
Plenty of families drive up themselves, and plenty come back to visit. Admissions will talk through the timing either way.
What does not change
Constant at Every Level
Embedded in the clinical program at every level of care.
Our clinical modelNeuroFaith™Our clinical model, co-authored by Holdfast co-founder Tim Hayden and published as a book. It pairs neuroscience with Christian faith: brain mapping, polyvagal-informed therapy and EMDR alongside Bible study and spiritual mentorship.
Strength and recoveryThe Resilience LabA fitness room and a recovery room, run by Bobby Figueroa, who spent twenty years in the US Army, much of it in Special Forces. Strength training, plus cold plunge, saunas, red light and vibration. AnchorPoint clients are brought here to use it.
Named by the client as a selling pointEquine therapyReal horses, on open ground, as part of the week rather than a novelty. A real herd on open ground, and for a lot of men the first hour in months where nothing is being asked of them in words.
Outdoors, most daysAdventure therapyHikes, canyons and lake days across northern Arizona. This is an open program, not a locked facility, and the outdoors is in the schedule rather than offered as a reward at the end of it.

I was hesitant on coming to this facility, but I'm very glad I did. It definitely enforces the guidelines for building a structured life while having some freedom to still feel like a person. The camaraderie and brothers you make here helped with my recovery exponentially. The staff and therapists at Holdfast take your issues and needs to heart and assist to the best of their abilities.
Alec ReddingVerified Google reviewHoldfast was instrumental in getting my loved one on the road to recovery. Very thankful for the faith based approach while also applying expertise in the field of addiction and recovery. A wonderful ratio of providers to patients for one on one therapy and support. My loved one left after completing a 90 day program with a plan, community and a sponsor. A new lease on life! Our biggest thanks to Holdfast and prayers for the success of your future clients.
Dana KaupieVerified Google reviewHoldFast is a place where God restored me from the inside out. It’s more than a recovery program, it’s a Christ-centered brotherhood that helped me rebuild my life on solid ground. Through prayer, Scripture, and real accountability, I learned how to cling to God in every season and rediscovered my identity in Christ building a life of sobriety. I leave HoldFast renewed, anchored, and grateful for the grace and strength I found here, taking it one day at a time.
Scott ThibodauxVerified Google reviewCombination of Neuro Faith' Therapist, Christian based teachings. Listening and sharing each clients experiences and thoughts about we were being taught in group meetings. Also encouraged to go to AA meetings, Church and Bible Study. I haven't sobriety for 96 Days straight since i was 15. Daily prayer and meditation combined with the Hold Fast App daily reflection schedule allowed me to stay focused on my goals of God and sobriety. I knew no one in Prescott when I moved here, now I have a brotherhood and Fellowship of Men that 100% i can count on. I am currently on Step 11 and plan on Sponsoring others as well as continuing in volunteering for others needs and bringing others to sobriety. I have a beautiful new life now that. Hold Fast brought me back ty rean honest self. Thank you Staff. I am now closer with my family.
Lui RodriguezVerified Google reviewHoldFast Recovery is "hands down" the best treatment center I have ever been to. Between the staff and brotherhood, there is genuinely something special about this place. If you're trying to find renewed faith and become the best version of yourself, you've come to the right spot. Be prepared to put in the work!
Cryss Cross CurryVerified Google reviewUnlike no other. Holdfast has been a life saving Christian based spirit filled residential treatment center based on the 12 steps. Instead of dreading the classes and meetings I look forward to all of it. The brotherhood of men here is very strong and I’m healing Godspeed.

Questions
Residential Treatment: What Men and Families Ask
Length, phones, family visits, detox, and traveling here from another state.
Still not sure?
Admissions answers around the clock.
Call (928) 378-3599Confidential. No pressure to commit.
- Is residential treatment at Holdfast or at AnchorPoint?
- At AnchorPoint. Holdfast Recovery is licensed for partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient care, and AnchorPoint is the brother program that delivers residential. One admissions team answers for both, so the call you make about a residential bed and the call you make about outpatient is the same call.
- How long is residential treatment?
- Around thirty days for most men, sometimes closer to forty five. That is the first stage of roughly ninety days in total: residential at AnchorPoint, then about sixty days of PHP and IOP with housing at Holdfast. Longer stays are available and are often the right call.
- Do you take phones away?
- No. There is no confiscation and no blackout period. You keep your phone, including overnight. If it genuinely becomes a distraction the clinical team will talk to you about it, but the starting position is that grown men are not prisoners.
- Do you provide medical detox?
- No. Admissions works with detox partners in the Phoenix area, will help place you, and will collect you when you are medically clear so you come straight into residential.
- Can I come from out of state?
- Most of the men here do. Fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor and someone will collect you and bring you up. Admissions handles the timing, and will talk through what traveling here involves and what to tell an employer.
- Can my family visit?
- Yes. Families visit, and family involvement is treated as part of the work rather than an interruption to it. Admissions will walk you through how visits are scheduled once a man is settled in.
- Do I have to be a Christian?
- No. The program is Christ-centered and does not pretend otherwise, but men arrive doubting, curious or with no faith at all and are welcome exactly as they are. Many find or renew a faith while they are here; nobody is required to bring one. More on how the Christian and clinical sides fit together.
- What if I am on Suboxone or another medication?
- Medication-assisted treatment is continued while a man is in the program, and psychiatric medication is managed on site. What is not offered is standalone MAT with no treatment around it. See also getting off methadone.
