Sober Living for Men in Arizona
A structured house, the men from your own program, and a ride to treatment every morning. The housing is part of the program rather than something you go and find.
The house comes with the program, so a bed here means treatment too. If a room on its own is what you need, call anyway and we will point you to the houses we trust.

How it works
Structured Sober Living, Attached to Treatment
The hardest part of outpatient treatment is often just getting to it. This is the part of the program that solves that.
- 1
You live at the house
A men's sober living house, staffed and structured, shared with the other men in the program. It is arranged for you and it is part of the program.
- 2
We drive you to treatment
The team takes you to the facility in the morning and brings you back at the end of the day. No car needed, no bus, no excuse not to turn up.
- 3
You step down while you stay
The housing carries across the whole outpatient continuum, so the treatment schedule loosens gradually without the roof changing.
What comes with the house
- A bed in a structured, sober house
- The other men from your program
- Transport to treatment and back, daily
- Accountability and house expectations
- Staff you can reach
- Housing across the whole outpatient step-down

- What is sober living?
- Sober living, sometimes called transitional living, is structured substance-free housing for people in recovery. Most sober living homes are rented independently of any treatment. At Holdfast it works the other way round: the house is part of the PHP and IOP program, and the team drives you to treatment and back each day.
- Can I rent a room without doing the program?
- No. The house is part of the treatment program rather than something rented separately, so a bed here comes with PHP or IOP attached. If a room on its own is what you need, ask anyway: the team knows the Oxford Houses and private sober livings worth calling in Prescott and the Valley.
- What is the difference between sober living and a halfway house?
- A halfway house is often court or state connected and frequently a condition of release. A sober living is usually a private home you rent. Holdfast is neither: the housing is part of a licensed treatment program, it comes with daily transport, and the men in the house are the men in your groups.
- How long can I stay?
- Across the outpatient continuum, which runs about sixty days for most men after residential, and longer where that is the right call. Men move on when the clinical picture says they are ready.
- Do you provide transport?
- Yes, daily, between the house and the facility. It is one of the quieter reasons the program works: the hardest part of outpatient treatment is often just getting to it.
- Does insurance cover sober living?
- Insurance does not usually pay for housing on its own, which is part of why standalone sober living is paid out of pocket. Here the housing is part of the treatment program, so it is handled inside the same benefit. Admissions runs the verification and comes back with what your plan covers.
- Is it a Christian house?
- It is Christian sober living in the sense that matters: the house is part of a Christ-centered program, and the culture reflects that. Nobody is required to arrive with a faith, and nobody signs anything to get a bed. More on how the Christian and clinical sides fit together.
- Who else will be living there?
- Men from your own program, at roughly your own stage. That is deliberate. The accountability that makes sober living work comes from the people in it, and here they are the same men you sit in group with.

I was hesitant on coming to this facility, but I'm very glad I did. It definitely enforces the guidelines for building a structured life while having some freedom to still feel like a person. The camaraderie and brothers you make here helped with my recovery exponentially. The staff and therapists at Holdfast take your issues and needs to heart and assist to the best of their abilities.
Alec ReddingVerified Google reviewHoldfast was instrumental in getting my loved one on the road to recovery. Very thankful for the faith based approach while also applying expertise in the field of addiction and recovery. A wonderful ratio of providers to patients for one on one therapy and support. My loved one left after completing a 90 day program with a plan, community and a sponsor. A new lease on life! Our biggest thanks to Holdfast and prayers for the success of your future clients.
Dana KaupieVerified Google reviewHoldFast is a place where God restored me from the inside out. It’s more than a recovery program, it’s a Christ-centered brotherhood that helped me rebuild my life on solid ground. Through prayer, Scripture, and real accountability, I learned how to cling to God in every season and rediscovered my identity in Christ building a life of sobriety. I leave HoldFast renewed, anchored, and grateful for the grace and strength I found here, taking it one day at a time.
Scott ThibodauxVerified Google reviewCombination of Neuro Faith' Therapist, Christian based teachings. Listening and sharing each clients experiences and thoughts about we were being taught in group meetings. Also encouraged to go to AA meetings, Church and Bible Study. I haven't sobriety for 96 Days straight since i was 15. Daily prayer and meditation combined with the Hold Fast App daily reflection schedule allowed me to stay focused on my goals of God and sobriety. I knew no one in Prescott when I moved here, now I have a brotherhood and Fellowship of Men that 100% i can count on. I am currently on Step 11 and plan on Sponsoring others as well as continuing in volunteering for others needs and bringing others to sobriety. I have a beautiful new life now that. Hold Fast brought me back ty rean honest self. Thank you Staff. I am now closer with my family.

Cryss Cross CurryVerified Google reviewUnlike no other. Holdfast has been a life saving Christian based spirit filled residential treatment center based on the 12 steps. Instead of dreading the classes and meetings I look forward to all of it. The brotherhood of men here is very strong and I’m healing Godspeed.
