Trauma work starts once you are medically stable, which for some men means a detox first. Admissions arranges that and brings you here once you are cleared. how we handle detox.
Inside the program
Treatment at Holdfast
The same clinical spine as every level of care, pointed at this in particular.
EMDR, structured and clinical rather than a conversation about the past
Identity work alongside it, which is the part NeuroFaith™ was written for
Experiential work for men who have learned to manage a therapy room
Veterans and first responders usually in the building, which changes the room
The Root Underneath It
Most men arrive having already done a detox, a twenty-eight day stay, or both. What was missing was this, and it is the reason the program is built the way it is.
Not on day one and not to a room. EMDR is structured work rather than a confession, it starts when your therapist judges you are stable enough, and a fair amount of the early work is about being able to tolerate the memory at all.
What if I do not think I have trauma?
Plenty of men arrive certain of that. The assessment is not interested in whether an event qualifies, only in what the body is still doing about it. Frequently that conversation ends somewhere nobody expected.
Is this for veterans and first responders specifically?
Not only, but they are a large part of it. The founder is a firefighter who lost nineteen brothers, which is why the program is built trauma-first. See veterans and first responders.

Other Conditions Treated
Most men arrive with more than one of these, which is the normal case rather than a complication.
I was hesitant on coming to this facility, but I'm very glad I did. It definitely enforces the guidelines for building a structured life while having some freedom to still feel like a person. The camaraderie and brothers you make here helped with my recovery exponentially. The staff and therapists at Holdfast take your issues and needs to heart and assist to the best of their abilities.

Holdfast was instrumental in getting my loved one on the road to recovery. Very thankful for the faith based approach while also applying expertise in the field of addiction and recovery. A wonderful ratio of providers to patients for one on one therapy and support. My loved one left after completing a 90 day program with a plan, community and a sponsor. A new lease on life! Our biggest thanks to Holdfast and prayers for the success of your future clients.

HoldFast is a place where God restored me from the inside out. It’s more than a recovery program, it’s a Christ-centered brotherhood that helped me rebuild my life on solid ground. Through prayer, Scripture, and real accountability, I learned how to cling to God in every season and rediscovered my identity in Christ building a life of sobriety. I leave HoldFast renewed, anchored, and grateful for the grace and strength I found here, taking it one day at a time.
As Iron Sharpens Iron, So One Man Sharpens Another.
Proverbs 27:17
Men walk in here out of options and walk out with a brotherhood, a purpose and something that holds. It starts with one call, and you can make it right now.
