The distinction is real and worth understanding, because it decides who is treating you at each stage.
Residential
AnchorPoint
The live-in stage, roughly thirty to forty five days. Shared rooms, clinical staff on site around the clock, and the first real distance from whatever was happening at home.
Residential treatmentPHP, IOP and outpatient
Holdfast Recovery
Everything after. Around sixty days of stepping down, with sober living alongside, so the structure comes off gradually rather than all at once.

- Are Holdfast and AnchorPoint the same company?
- No. They are separate entities with separate licenses and separate addresses. Holdfast holds the outpatient licenses and runs PHP, IOP and outpatient; AnchorPoint delivers residential. What they share is a clinical philosophy, an admissions team and, increasingly, a building.
- So who treats me?
- Both, in sequence, and it is meant to feel like one program from the inside. Men typically start in residential at AnchorPoint and step down into Holdfast for PHP, IOP and outpatient with sober living alongside. The point of the continuum is that nobody goes from full structure to none in an afternoon.
- Do I have to call twice?
- No. One admissions team answers for both, so the first call places you wherever the assessment says you belong rather than wherever you happened to dial.
- Is the treatment different at each?
- The level of care differs, which is the point. The model does not: NeuroFaith™, trauma-first therapy, the twelve steps and the faith work run through both.
- Where is AnchorPoint?

I was hesitant on coming to this facility, but I'm very glad I did. It definitely enforces the guidelines for building a structured life while having some freedom to still feel like a person. The camaraderie and brothers you make here helped with my recovery exponentially. The staff and therapists at Holdfast take your issues and needs to heart and assist to the best of their abilities.

Listening and sharing each clients experiences and thoughts about we were being taught in group meetings. Also encouraged to go to AA meetings, Church and Bible Study.
