What Our Treatments & Therapies Entail

At Holdfast Recovery, we tailor our programs to the unique needs of each individual client. During the initial intake assessment, we can recommend inpatient or residential rehab if necessary and create a plan with you for either a partial hospitalization program or intensive outpatient program. Both programs involve the various treatments and therapies mentioned above.


Both individual therapy and group therapy are both critical components of a successful recovery and sustainable sobriety. When you attend our rehab center for alcohol or drug abuse or addiction, you will spend most of your time participating in various therapy sessions. Group therapy, including various 12-step programs, allow you to share your story and learn about other people’s experiences. Group sessions are typically overseen by a trained counselor who helps facilitate discussion, provides guidance, and offers insights.

In individual therapy, you will work one-on-one with a trained professional to dive deeper into your personal experiences and gain insights into your past and current behaviors. Individual therapy might involve a number of clinically tested, effective therapies, such as cognitive behavioral therapy and eye movement desensitization reprocessing therapy. Individual therapy is often designed to address underlying trauma and mental illnesses, as well as provide coping mechanisms for dealing with stress, cravings, and other relapse triggers.

It’s important to note that, while our treatments and therapies are intensive and effective, rehab is not a permanent “cure” for addiction. We provide you with the tools you need to overcome your substance use disorder for good, and one of these tools is aftercare.

Aftercare is the ongoing process of maintaining sobriety while stepping back from the highly intensive and structured environment of rehab. Studies have shown that aftercare is a critical aspect of long-term, sustainable sobriety; the majority of people who achieve this attend some form of ongoing recovery support for a period of at least two years.

We tailor our aftercare program to each individual’s unique needs. This might look like continued weekly therapy sessions, attendance at group therapy sessions and regular men’s meetings, participation in Bible studies and other faith-based activities.
