Most men here use a plan through an employer, a spouse or the marketplace. Verification takes a name, a date of birth and the plan, and tells you what the benefits actually look like.

- The level of care: residential, PHP, IOP and outpatient are not the same cost and are not meant to be
- How long you stay, which is a clinical decision rather than a package you pick
- Whether your plan is in or out of network, and what your out of network benefits look like
- Whether you need a medical detox first, which happens elsewhere and is billed elsewhere

Say so on the first call rather than working around it. It changes what is worth discussing, and there is no sense building a plan neither of us can fund.
If we are not the right fit financially, admissions will say that and point you somewhere that is.

- Does insurance cover rehab?
- Usually some of it, and how much depends on your plan rather than on us. We work with most major commercial carriers, and much of our care is delivered out of network, which often still carries substantial benefits. A verification is the only thing that answers it for your policy, it takes one call, and you are not committing to anything by asking. We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.
- What does rehab cost?
- We do not publish a figure, and that is deliberate rather than evasive. What a stay costs depends on the level of care, how long it runs and what your plan pays, so any number here would be wrong for most people reading it. Admissions will give you a straight answer for your situation on the phone, including if the answer is that we are not the right fit financially.
- What if I do not have insurance?
- Self-pay is an option and admissions will talk it through honestly. Say so on the first call rather than working around it, because it changes what is worth discussing and the aim is a plan that holds up rather than one that falls over in month two.
- What does out of network actually mean for me?
- That we do not hold a contract with your insurer, so the plan pays according to its out of network schedule rather than a negotiated rate. For plans with real out of network benefits that can still cover a substantial share. For plans with none, it covers nothing. Which of those you have is exactly what verification tells you.
- Do you take Medicare or Medicaid?
- No. That includes AHCCCS in Arizona. We would rather say it plainly here than have you find out after a phone call, and if that is your coverage, admissions will point you toward programs that do take it.
- Can my employer find out?
- Not from us. If you are using FMLA or short-term disability your employer sees the paperwork that process requires, which is dates rather than clinical detail. More on that on the page for working professionals.
