- Do you accept TRICARE?
- We work with TRICARE West policies, and admissions will confirm yours specifically before anything is booked. Searching for rehabs that take TRICARE is the easy part; finding out whether your own plan works at a given level of care is the part we do for you. Coverage varies by plan and by level of care, so the honest answer is that it depends on your plan and we will tell you rather than guess.
- Are you a VA Community Care provider?
- No. We are not contracted through VA Community Care, and if that is the route you are trying to use, this is not the right program. It is worth asking on the call anyway, because admissions knows which Arizona programs do hold that contract.
- What does TRICARE cover for rehab?
- That depends on your plan, your region and the level of care, and nobody should quote you a number off a website. Admissions runs the verification with the plan administrator and comes back with what applies to you.
- Does TRICARE cover residential treatment?
- Residential is delivered by AnchorPoint, our brother program, and what TRICARE covers there is a separate question from the outpatient levels. The same applies to TRICARE alcohol rehab specifically, which is the most common reason men reach this page. Admissions checks both in the same call so you are not verifying twice.
- I am a veteran but not on TRICARE. Can you still help?
- Often, yes. Plenty of veterans here are covered by a commercial plan through work, or use out-of-network benefits. See the plans we work with, or call and let admissions work it out.
- Will treatment affect my military career?
- It is the question active duty callers ask most, and it is not one a website should answer for your situation. Admissions has had the conversation many times and will talk it through with you honestly, including the parts that are not reassuring.
- Do you treat PTSD alongside addiction?
- Yes, and it is the working assumption rather than an add-on. Trauma-specific therapists and EMDR are part of the program from the start. See trauma and PTSD treatment.
- Is the program only for veterans?
- No. This is not a veterans rehab in the sense of serving only veterans: it is a Christian program for men, and veterans and first responders are a large part of it rather than the whole of it. See who we help.

Why this program, for this audience
Nineteen Men Went Up the Hill. One Came Back.
On 30 June 2013, nineteen Granite Mountain Hotshots died on the Yarnell Hill Fire. Brendan McDonough was twenty-one and posted as the crew's lookout. He radioed the warning, and he was the only one who came home.
What followed is the part he talks about now: the depression, the PTSD, the years he did not want to be here, and the drinking underneath all of it. He got sober, and then built the place he had needed and could not find.
So if you are a veteran, a service member or a first responder, you will not have to explain the calls you cannot unsee, or apologize for handling it the only way you knew how.
