Christian rehab is an addiction treatment program that integrates faith-based principles, typically rooted in Scripture and a Christ-centered worldview, alongside evidence-based clinical care. That integration looks different depending on the program. Some weave faith into every element of the day. Others keep clinical programming separate from faith activities and let clients engage on their own terms [1].

Secular rehab, by contrast, is organized entirely around clinical and behavioral frameworks. It may include spirituality in a broad sense, the twelve-step model’s references to a higher power being the most common example, but it does not operate from a specific religious tradition or worldview.
