Intensive Outpatient Program in Prescott, Arizona

Our flexible intensive outpatient program for men is designed in a two-phase approach, meeting 5 or 3 days a week for 3 hours.

With Christ at the center and science by our side, we support men of all backgrounds on a journey of healing, resilience, and brotherhood.

What is an Intensive Outpatient Program?

An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a structured level of outpatient care designed to support individuals recovering from addiction and mental health challenges without requiring residential treatment. An IOP for addiction provides consistent therapeutic support several days per week while allowing men to maintain professional and personal responsibilities.

Our Christian Intensive Outpatient Program combines evidence-based clinical treatment with faith-centered recovery. Men participate in group therapy, individual counseling, and trauma-informed care while also engaging in spiritual development, accountability, and fellowship.

This integrated approach addresses not only substance use but the emotional, behavioral, and spiritual factors that contribute to addiction.

Who Can Benefit from an Intensive Outpatient Program?

An IOP is often recommended for men stepping down from inpatient or partial hospitalization programs, or for those who need a higher level of support than traditional outpatient care. By offering structure, accountability, and real-world application, our IOP for addiction helps men build lasting recovery grounded in personal responsibility and a renewed relationship with Christ.

What Makes Holdfast Recovery Different?

Flexible Plans for Men

We understand that many men cannot step away from work, family, or other daily responsibilities to focus on recovery. Our programs are designed with flexibility in mind, so you can engage in treatment without putting your life on hold.

Flexible Plans for Men

Every step of our program is guided by a Christ-centered framework that emphasizes deep spiritual and emotional transformation. Men are encouraged to heal old wounds, break cycles of trauma, discover their purpose, and find strength in recovery.

Trauma-Informed Staff

Our team understands the struggles men encounter when addressing past trauma, particularly in a culture that often discourages openness. We support men in developing emotional and physical resilience to help them take ownership of their experiences and reclaim their stories.

Brotherhood and Accountability

Brotherhood is central to the recovery journey. Men gain strength through spiritual fellowship, participating in 12-step programs, NA, AA, and Bible study groups. This supportive community provides encouragement, guidance, and accountability, helping men grow.

Medication-Assisted Treatment

Our team works closely with licensed medical professionals to provide MAT, a safe and effective method for managing opioid cravings and dependency. We do not prescribe methadone directly, but we can coordinate care if you’re already using it, including a structured tapering plan.

Evidence-Based Therapies

Clinical approaches are rooted in evidence-based therapies such as CBT, DBT, and EMDR, which are proven to support long-term recovery. These help men identify unhealthy patterns, regulate emotions, and develop practical coping skills for real-life challenges.

Neurofaith™ Approach

Using polyvagal-informed therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and HeartMath® techniques, we help men learn how their nervous system responds to stress and trauma, and how to restore a sense of safety and balance.

Equine-Assisted Therapy

Working alongside horses offers a powerful, experiential path to recovery. Through guided interaction, men develop self-awareness, emotional regulation, trust, and leadership, lessons that translate into healthier relationships, increased confidence, and spiritual growth.
