Jesus Is All We Need Podcast

Holdfast Recovery CEO Brendan McDonough Featured in “Jesus Is All We Need” Podcast

Holdfast Recovery’s own CEO, Brendan McDonough, was recently featured on author Jason Sautel’s “Jesus Is All We Need” podcast, where he shared his incredible story of survival and faith as a former firefighter who began his healing journey when he accepted Christ into his life.

Jason’s podcast draws from his own experience as a firefighter walking by faith and will explore the transformational lessons that Jesus teaches us in our lives by featuring unique stories from different guests every episode.

Brendan’s story is familiar and known to our longtime supporters and patients. Brendan joined the Granite Mountain Hotshots, an elite crew of Arizona firefighters, after struggling with heroin addiction, only to face tragedy on June 30, 2013, when all 19 of his teammates were killed in a firestorm in Yarnell that was later labeled the greatest loss of firefighter lives since the 9/11 attacks.

As the lone survivor of the tragedy, Brendan dealt with depression, PTSD, and alcohol abuse issues on his own. It was his faith in Christ and devotion to his family that led Brendan out of the darkness and to his present role as CEO of Holdfast Recovery, where he can share his story and help his community every day.

Our team is proud of Brendan for continuing to live by example and inspiring others to find their best selves.
